The research report was jointly published by the Research Center for Geographical Sciences and the Tourism Research Center of Peking University, in collaboration with the International Mountain Alliance.

On September 26th, the International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports opened in Xingyi City, Guizhou Province. At the opening ceremony, the International Mountain Tourism Alliance officially releases the Certification Criteria of World Famous Tourism Mountains, and awarded awarding certificates to the first group of World Famous Tourism Mountains.
