Located in the mountainous area of northern Pengzhou City, Longmen Mountain Tourist Resort is home to a cluster of natural wonders, including U-shaped river valleys, alpine seas of clouds, numerous uniquely shaped klippen, and karst cave groups.

Longmen Mountain, where the Longmenjing Trail lies, is part of the World Natural Heritage Site. It preserves geological marvels formed by glacial erratic boulders, such as klippen groups, as well as tectonic relics including the "two faults with one uplift" fault system, overthrust klippen with inverted strata, and the Bailu Earthquake Scarp that records co-seismic displacement. It is truly a "living fossil" of Earth’s evolution.
