According to data from Mode Tour, one of South Korea's largest travel agencies, the number of travelers to China via the company reached 19,556 in April 2026, up 31% year-on-year. As of mid-May, May's outbound travel to China had risen by approximately 40% year-on-year, while bookings for the July–August summer period were up by around 105% year-on-year. Mode Tour attributed the continued growth in demand for travel to China to short flight times, relatively reasonable local travel costs, visa-free policies, and increased air capacity.
