On July 15, the Beijing Zoo announced that its new giant panda enclosure will officially open to the public on July 16.
Currently, the Beijing Zoo's giant panda house is home to 10 giant pandas. It is worth noting that in order to provide a better viewing experience, the display arrangement has been adjusted following the opening of the new enclosure: the new enclosure and the Asian Games Hall will serve as the "main stage" for public display, while the Olympic Hall will be converted into a backstage area and will not be involved in public display for the time being. In addition, a rotational enclosure system will be implemented after the new facility opens, meaning that visitors may see different giant pandas on display each time they visit.
