IMTA Vice Chairman Liu Zhaohui Invited to Attend World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development 2026

On September 9, the World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development 2026 officially opened at Shougang Park in Beijing. Liu Zhaohui, Vice Chairman of International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA), was invited to attend the opening ceremony and related side events.

The conference themed "Smart Tourism Shared Prosperity," is hosted by the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and supported by multiple international organizations including the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the World Tourism Economic Forum (GTEF),, and the World Tourism Alliance (WTA). As one of the key thematic forums under the framework of the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the conference brought together representatives from over 50 countries and regions, as well as more than 50 cities, and cross-border travel operators at Shougang Park. This year's CIFTIS, themed "Global Services, Shared Prosperity," showcased new achievements in China's services trade development and established a new platform for open cooperation in global services trade. The exhibition featured a theme pavilion and nine specialized pavilions covering nine sectors, including telecommunications, computer and information services, financial services, cultural and tourism services, education services, and sports services. Approximately 90 countries and international organizations set up exhibitions and held events, with over 1,800 enterprises participating offline. Concurrent activities also included the Global Services Trade Summit 2025, forum sessions, negotiation and promotion events, achievement releases, and supporting activities.

Vice Chairman Liu Zhaohu was invitated to this year's CIFTIS and the World Tourism Cooperation and Development Conference reflects the IMTA's firm commitment to actively participating in global cultural tourism industry exchanges and cooperation, and to promoting the international development of mountain tourism. As an international organization dedicated to "protecting mountain resources, preserving mountain civilizations, promoting mountain tourism, and prospering mountain community," the IMTA will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the global tourism industry, contributing positive momentum to the high-quality development of the world's tourism sector. During the conference, Vice Chairman Liu Zhaohui engaged in exchanges and discussions with fellow delegates and industry leaders.
