From June 16 to 18, 2026, at the invitation of the ASEAN-China Centre, Liu Zhaohui, Vice Chairman of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA), led a delegation to attend the ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) Economy Development Center Launch Event, the ASEAN-China (Zhengzhou) International Cultural and Food Festival, and a series of activities including field observation at local enterprises. The events were jointly hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province, and the People's Government of Zhengzhou Municipality. The initiative aims to build a comprehensive one-stop cooperation platform connecting Central China with ASEAN, with a foundation in agricultural and grain cooperation and cultural and tourism connectivity as a key link. More than 170 participants attended the events, including Li Fengzhi, Vice Mayor of Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government; Shi Zhongjun, Special Guest of the ASEAN-China Centre (also serving as Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre); Bo Bo Kyaw, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation of Myanmar; H.E. Lim Lork Piseth, Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia; Saveuy SILAVANH,, Mayor of Luang Prabang, Laos; other government officials and local representatives from ASEAN countries, diplomatic envoys of ASEAN countries to China, and representatives from Chinese and ASEAN enterprises and business associations.

During the events, Liu Zhaohui held exchanges with government officials in charge of agriculture and commerce from Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as diplomatic officials from the Indonesian and Bruneian embassies in China. The IMTA delegation participated in the core segments of the series of events, gaining an in-depth understanding of Zhengzhou's logistics advantages for air-land intermodal transport with ASEAN, which are built upon the "Air Silk Road" and China-Europe Railway Express. The delegation also conducted on-site research at the development models of leading integrated agriculture, culture, and tourism enterprises such as Mixue Group and Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd., and engaged in in-depth exchanges with representatives from various ASEAN countries on cross-border cooperation in specialty mountain agricultural products and eco-mountain tourism.
