Hongkou Scenic Spot is located in the northwest of Dujiangyan, a famous world cultural heritage city in Sichuan Province, China. It is the only National Nature Reserve close to mega cities in Western China. The scenic spot is located in the transition zone from Sichuan basin to Qinghai Tibet Plateau, with an average altitude of 1500 meters and a peak of 4582 meters. It has more than 300 square kilometers of virgin forest and more than 10000 kinds of wild animals. In 1997, Longxi Hongkou was approved as a National Nature Reserve and approved as a national 4A-level tourist attraction in April 2011. It has been awarded the titles of "national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration site", "Sichuan mountain bike training base", "Sichuan eco-tourism demonstration area", and has been designated as the national torrent Canoe Training Base and Sichuan Mountaineering Association training base.
