Internationally renowned cave, caving, cave rescue and rope technics expert, Vice chairman of the French Federation of Speleology. Technical Expert of Guizhou Suiyang Shuanghedong National Geopark and Guangxi Leye-Fengshan UNESCO Global Geopark. In 2001, Bottazzi led a cave expedition consisting of six French cave experts to Suiyang County, Guizhou Province, to explore the Shuanghedong for the first time. He published 6 books and articles on cave exploration about Guizhou, Sichuan, Yunnan, Hubei, Liaoning and Hunan.
