Dr. Chubbamenla Jamir currently serves as the Director of the Native Foodscape Foundation (NFF) in New Delhi, India, where she leads efforts to transform food systems and build climate resilience through research, training, and advocacy. Her current research focuses on climate change adaptation, air pollution, food security, and sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on mountain agriculture and food systems in the Himalayan region. She is actively engaged in revitalizing native foods and promoting sustainable agricultural practices as key strategies for tackling global challenges such as climate change, malnutrition, and food insecurity. She serves as Co-Lead of the Thematic Working Group on Mountain Food Systems at the Himalayan University Consortium, and works closely with diverse stakeholders, including local communities and individuals from various scientific and cultural backgrounds, to address environment and development challenges through collaborative engagement. Prior to her current role, she was an Assistant Professor at TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) in New Delhi from 2012 to 2022, and earlier served as a Ph.D. researcher at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) in York, UK.
