"Life Amid the Earth's Folds" Photography Exhibition Debuts in Guiyang, Capturing the Beauty of Global Mountain Symbiosis

    time:2025-11-21 11:29 author:IMTA

Mountains are the most striking folds in the Earth's texture. They outline the majesty of snow-capped peaks, the depth of canyons, the crisscrossing of rivers, and the vastness of grasslands. They are not only masterpieces of natural force but also cradles of civilization.

On November 11, the "Bank of Guizhou · Mountain Culture, Tourism and Outdoor Sport Equipment Exhibition", hosted by the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) and titled by Bank of Guizhou, opened at the Guizhou International Conference Center in Guiyang City. Among its highlights, the "Life Amid the Earth's Folds" photography exhibition, jointly organized by the IMTA Secretariat and the China Guizhou International Culture and Science & Technology Exchange Center, brought together outstanding photographic works from over twenty countries and regions. Using imagery as the medium, it presents a visual epic of mountain humanity and nature that transcends borders.

Distinguished guests cut the ribbon for the "Bank of Guizhou · Mountain Culture, Tourism and Outdoor Sport Equipment Exhibition".

Under the theme "Life Amid the Earth's Folds," the exhibition gathers exceptional photographic works from more than twenty countries and regions worldwide. With profound reverence for life, photographers from various nations ventured deep into the remote veins of mountains. Through their lenses, they captured not only breathtaking splendors but also profound testimonies to how mountains foster civilizations, nurture customs, and achieve eternal stories of harmonious coexistence with humanity.

Each frozen image is a deep gaze upon the mountain world. From the sunrise over the Himalayas to the dusk in the Andes, from villages nestled in the foothills of the Alps to trails winding through the Rocky Mountains, the exhibition transports audiences across spatial and temporal boundaries to experience the unique vitality and inclusiveness of mountains. These works go beyond mere landscape documentation, delving into the deep-seated interdependence and mutual prosperity between humans and mountains, vividly showcasing the diversity of mountain cultures and their indomitable life force.

This photography exhibition received strong support from numerous international photographers and related institutions. It offers audiences a rare artistic experience while also building a visual bridge for disseminating mountain values and promoting global exchange and mutual learning among mountain civilizations.
