International Mountain Tourism Alliance Invited to Exchange Session with Issyk-Kul Region Delegation of Kyrgyzstan

On August 21, the Guizhou International Cultural Association held an exchange session with the visiting delegation from Issyk-Kul Region, Kyrgyzstan, during which the two sides signed a friendship agreement between the province and the region. Liu Zhaohui, Vice Chairman of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA), was invited to attend the meeting along with his delegation.

At the meeting, Liu Zhaohui introduced the basic profile of IMTA and noted that Kyrgyzstan is a quintessential mountain country, with the Issyk-Kul Region boasting rich mountain tourism resources and diverse tourism offerings. These features align closely with IMTA’s development vision. He emphasized that joining IMTA would facilitate more pragmatic cooperation in areas such as standard-setting, talent training, and professional exchange. IMTA expressed a strong interest in deepening collaboration with the Issyk-Kul Region and extended an invitation for the region to actively apply for and participate in IMTA’s flagship events, including the “International Mountain Tourism Day” and the “IMTA Annual Conference.”

Askat Azarbekov, Director of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Issyk-Kul Region, expressed his anticipation of joining the Alliance. He showed great interest in the Alliance’s development strategies and brand-building efforts and voiced a willingness to pursue deeper exchanges and cooperation in the future, including mobilizing relevant enterprises and institutions to actively participate in IMTA initiatives.
