As an important form of mountain tourism, mountain hot spring wellness tourism greatly enriches the connotation and quality of hot spring wellness tourism by exhausting hot spring as a medium and combining with nature, climate, environment, culture and other core attractions.
In 2022, the International Mountain Tourism Alliance, together with international experts from the Federation Mondiale du Thermalisme et du Climatisme, Asia-Pacific Institute for Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy Tourism Co., Ltd., Hainan Tourism Investment Development Co., Ltd., and other professional organizations, drawing on and introducing relevant international technical rules, to present the world's first "Construction and Rating on International Mountain Hot Spring Wellness Tourism Destination" combining "Mountain tourism", "hot spring wellness", "climate wellness" and "forest wellness" has been compiled, aiming to guide and standardize the development, construction and operation management of mountain spa wellness tourism projects in the field of international mountain tourism.
In order to better promote and promote the landing of the standard, this year, mainly in China, the collection of "IMTA International Mountain Hot Spring Wellness Tourism Pilot Demonstratian Site" was carried out globally. After the International Mountain Tourism Federation experts selected, a total of 14 hot springs won the final recognition.
