One day in the middle of June, at the invitation of an old friend, Ying De, I drove to Guizhou to watch the "Chinese Tianyan". I was immediately excited and agreed. According to the agreed time, we set out from Jiangjin at 8:00 the next morning
Today's Guizhou is not what it used to be, with expressways extending in all directions. There are many roads from Jiangjin to Guizhou. We chose to take the Tianjin Xichang Expressway, through Xishui, Renhuai to Bijie, and then from Bijie to Pingtang.
I haven't been to Guizhou for many years. The first impression is that it has changed too much. Modern road traffic has brought great convenience to people. It used to take several days, but now it is only a few hours away.
It was only a few hours before we set out from Jiangjin and entered Bijie. I then proposed: "I heard that the Zhijin Cave in Bijie is very beautiful. It is the first of the 'six most beautiful tourist caves in China', the first of the 'ten most amazing caves in China', or the 'world geological park'. Let's go and have a look." Everyone said with one voice, "If you want to play, you can play wherever you like."
Zhijin Cave is located in Guanzhai Township, 23 kilometers away from Zhijin County, Guizhou Province, formerly known as Daji Cave. It is a treasure house of cave resources with grand scale and peculiar shape found in China. According to the commentator, the Zhijin Cave is more than 4200 meters long and 240 meters deep. The widest part is 175 meters and the highest part is 78 meters. It is composed of the main cave and four adits. There are four floors, 12 halls and more than 40 halls in the cave. There are 13 halls with a floor area of more than 3000 square meters and 5 halls with a floor area of more than 10000 square meters. The Zhijin Cave, which was originally very beautiful, was even more magnificent and magical after being explained by the guide.
We walk and look all the way; Listen and think all the way. The view in the cave is one step at a time. When you raise your head, it is the view. When you lower your head, it is the view. Even for the same scenic spot, viewing from different angles is completely different. In particular, scenic spots such as "Overlord Helmets", "Love between Mother and Daughter in Law", "Silver Rain Tree" and "Dialogue between Ancient and Modern Times" attracted many tourists to stop and watch. After listening to the explanation of "Dialogue between Ancient and Modern Times", Mr. Zhang said: "They are also alive, and the magic of nature has given the people of gold weaving good luck!"
Because the camera had a little trouble, I had to take out my mobile phone and left every beautiful scene. After nearly two hours of personal experience in the cave, we deeply felt that "there is no cave outside the Zhijin Cave" is truly worthy of the reputation.
Go out of the cave and continue to move towards Bijie. It was late in Bijie, so we found a hotel near the city to stay. The next morning, starting from Bijie, we drove from west to south for more than five hours on the expressway, covering more than 400 kilometers. We finally arrived at the long-awaited "Chinese Tianyan".
"China's Tianyan" is located in the karst depression of Dawodang, Kedu Town, Pingtang County, Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Scientists and builders have created a world miracle in such an isolated mountain.
With a mysterious yearning for the heavenly eye, we went to Pingtang County International Astronomical Science Popularization Tourism Center to complete the visit formalities, store the mobile phones, cameras, bags (not allowed) and other items, and then queue up to board the transport vehicle in order to start towards Dawodang.
The car travels through the mountains. The surrounding scenery is full of bluestones and shrubs. Occasionally, one or two pine trees and cypresses grow out of the cracks in the rocks, and their roots are curved. This is a typical karst landform with rock peaks. The car zigzagged in the mountains for nearly half an hour and finally stopped. Everyone thought they had arrived at the destination, but they were told that they would have to take a 20 yuan bus, or they would have to walk up the slope to get to the scenic spot.
Because of the time and the tiredness of the journey, everyone chose to take the bus. Unexpectedly, after getting off the bus, we still need to climb a ladder of nearly 100 meters to reach the viewing platform.
Wow! This is China's Heavenly Eye, a great power's heavy weapon! At this moment, she lies in the mountains and opens the mirror to show us. There was no display, no movement, not even the chirping of birds. The viewing platform is built on the top of the mountain, which is very close to the eye of heaven. I hold the railing to extend my vision from the foot to the opposite ridge. I was shocked! The huge silver sphere was a little dazzling, and the light deeply penetrated my heart. We walked on the observation platform and looked at it. Suddenly someone nearby said, "It's a pity not to look at the eye of heaven, but it's even more regrettable to see it." "That's because you don't understand the hardships and toil of the builders, nor the connotation, function, purpose and significance of the Heavenly Eye. It's no pity if you look carefully at these introductions." Lao Han pointed to the written materials on the observation platform.
"China's Heavenly Eye" was proposed by Chinese astronomer Nan Rendong in 1994. In November 1995, with the Beijing Astronomical Observatory as the main body and more than 20 universities and scientific research institutions in China, the China Promotion Committee for the "Large Radio Telescope" was established, with researcher Nan Rendong as the director. During the 22 years of construction, construction workers and scientific researchers, under difficult environmental conditions, regardless of day and night, did their best to build the "China Tianyan" on September 25, 2016. This is an amazing miracle. Behind this miracle are countless construction workers, scientific researchers, astronomers... they have made great contributions through hard work, Their contributions will always be remembered in the hearts of the motherland and the people, because they are the builders and devotees of the world's great projects.
On the way back from the mountain, we also heard such a touching story. When 63 villagers from 12 families in Dawodang learned that the country needs to relocate to build Tianyan, the villagers gave their support and selfless dedication without saying a word. All the 12 families moved to Kedu Town. With the help of the Party's poverty alleviation policy, all of them have lifted themselves out of poverty and become rich, leading a well-off life.
According to the text on the observation platform, "China Tianyan" has found 132 high-quality pulsar candidates, 93 of which have been confirmed as newly discovered pulsars. By January 11, 2020, "China Tianyan" had passed the national acceptance and was put into formal operation.
