On March 11, 2025, the "Hungarian National Memorial Day" event, hosted by the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, was grandly held at the Roosevelt Club in Shanghai. Representatives from the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, the Hungarian Government Commissioner for Wine Marketing, representatives from Hungarian enterprises in Shanghai, leaders of Chinese companies, cultural figures, and several media outlets gathered along the banks of the Huangpu River. As Hungary's National Memorial Day approached on March 15, they used the river as a bond to jointly chart a new blueprint for friendship and cooperation between China and Hungary.

Tourism cooperation has seen remarkable progress: In 2023, Hungary became one of the first countries included in China's pilot program to resume outbound group tours. During the summer of 2024, foreign tourist arrivals to Hungary increased by 14% year-on-year, with Chinese visitors doubling. Initiatives under the "Friendly China" program, such as comprehensive Chinese signage at Liszt Ferenc International Airport and expanded UnionPay payment options, have yielded significant results. With increased direct flights and optimized entry policies, people-to-people exchanges between the two countries have become more frequent and convenient.
