The railway transport plan for the Qingming Festival holiday period commenced on April 3. Tickets for the holiday travel period went on sale starting March 21. As of 8:00 PM on April 2, a cumulative total of 43 million tickets had been pre-sold.
Based on current ticket sales trends: Popular destination cities include Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, and Xi'an.
Key routes with concentrated passenger flows include: Nanning-Guangzhou round trips, Wuhan-Changsha round trips, Xi'an-Chengdu round trips, Beijing-Shanghai round trips, Beijing-Shenyang round trips, Beijing-Jinan round trips, Shenzhen-Hong Kong, Beijing-Zhengzhou, and Beijing-Taiyuan.
Surveys indicate that 90% of travelers plan trips within a 500-kilometer radius, with most trips falling between 200 and 300 kilometers. Bookings for nearby trips during the Qingming holiday have surged by 136% compared to the previous period. Forty-four percent of travelers will opt for self-driving tours, with Hangzhou, Nanjing, Jinan, Guangzhou, Beijing, Suzhou, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Yangzhou emerging as popular nearby destinations.
