On March 12, the promotional conference titled "A Way of Life Called Yunnan: Slow Living in Yunnan" was held in Beijing, organized by the Beijing Office of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The event unveiled 100 distinctive travel destinations and 100 key investment projects, spanning diverse sectors including arts and culture, sports, leisure resorts, and medical wellness.

According to the plan, Yunnan will develop 3,000 residential villages in phases, creating several "hidden gem towns" and "vibrant rural communities." Targeting the needs of 360 million seniors seeking residential travel, the province will launch wellness and medical care products. Through fiscal, tax, and land policy incentives, the province will encourage private capital to collaborate with villagers, fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem for "new Yunnan residents." This initiative aims to transform the travel and residence industry into a livelihood-enhancing sector, turning beautiful resources into a better life.
