During the Qingming holiday, travel demand surged as passengers crossed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for family visits, ancestral worship, spring outings, and tourism. According to statistics from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Immigration Inspection Station, from April 4 to 12:00 on April 6, over 272,000 passengers and more than 57,000 vehicles passed through the Zhuhai Port, representing year-on-year increases of 32.1% and 41.7% respectively—both setting new records for the same period in history.
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, renowned for its magnificent scenery and convenient transportation, has become a popular destination for tourism within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It attracts large numbers of mainland travelers heading south to Hong Kong and Macao for sightseeing and spring outings. Statistics from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Immigration Inspection Station show that during this year's Qingming holiday period, the number of mainland travelers entering and exiting via the bridge with Hong Kong and Macao travel endorsements reached 42,000, a 30.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
