After each snowfall, Beijing's municipal parks don their winter-exclusive attire, transformed into a silver-white wonderland. On December 11, the Beijing Municipal Park Management Center unveiled a “Snow Scenery Check-in Map” to help residents and visitors capture beautiful moments. Landmarks such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in Temple of Heaven Park, the Stone Boat in Summer Palace, the White Pagoda in Beihai Park, the Hall of Longevity Complex in Jingshan Park, the Pavilion by the Water in Taoranting Park, and the Youxianshan Pavilion in Zizhuyuan Park will all showcase their unique charm against a backdrop of snow.
Beijing's municipal parks extend a “Winter Snow Invitation,” inviting residents and visitors to explore the snow-covered garden wonders. Amidst the romantic encounter of snow and ancient architecture, experience the unique charm of garden structures blending with snowy landscapes, capture annual snow-themed photos, and let winter poetry illuminate your social feeds.
To ensure a comfortable snow-viewing experience, Beijing's municipal parks have implemented comprehensive safety measures. Snow and ice will be promptly cleared from entrances, main pathways, stairs, and slopes. Anti-slip mats and warning signs will be placed to safeguard visitors. Warmth-providing services include hot water stations, first-aid kits, and hot water for handwashing in public restrooms. The Beijing Park Management Center reminds visitors that temperatures drop significantly after snowfall, making some surfaces slippery. Please dress warmly, wear slip-resistant shoes, and take extra care of the elderly and children. When photographing snowy scenes, stay mindful of your footing and refrain from climbing trees or rocks.
