At the Lijiang-focused session of Yunnan Province's “High-Quality Implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan” press conference series held in Kunming on December 8, relevant data revealed: Lijiang City's tourist arrivals steadily increased from 26.25 million in 2020 to 80.64 million in 2024, achieving an average annual growth rate of 32.4%. The figure is projected to exceed 83 million in 2025. Total tourism expenditure has simultaneously achieved leapfrog growth, rising from 51 billion yuan in 2020 to 138.5 billion yuan in 2024, with a compound annual growth rate of 28.5%.

The briefing revealed that Lijiang's regional GDP expanded from 51.27 billion yuan in 2020 to 71 billion yuan in 2024, growing at an average annual rate of 6.6%. This growth rate exceeded the national average by 1.1 percentage points and the provincial average by 1.8 percentage points, elevating Lijiang's economic ranking within Yunnan Province by one position. Fixed-asset investment grew at an average annual rate of 9.1%. The annual average growth rates of per capita disposable income for urban and rural residents reached 5.2% and 8.8%, respectively. The growth rates of major economic indicators have ranked among the top tier in the province for five consecutive years.
