The Huajiang Canyon Bridge, which broke ground on January 18, 2022, officially opened to traffic on September 28, 2025. Over three years, constructors erected a "rainbow in the clouds," marking a new breakthrough in China's infrastructure technology and engineering wisdom under extreme conditions. With a total length of 2,890 meters, a main span of 1,420 meters, and a height of 625 meters from the deck to the water surface, the bridge claims two world records: the longest main span among mountain bridges and the highest bridge globally.

The opening has transformed the Huajiang Canyon from a "natural barrier" into a "smooth thoroughfare," drastically shortening travel time between Guanling Bouyei and Miao Autonomous County (Anshun City) and Zhenfeng County (Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture) in Guizhou Province. It will effectively link key tourist resources such as Huangguoshu Waterfall, Longgong Cave, and Wanfenglin, creating a synergistic effect that reshapes the regional tourism economic landscape. Beyond boosting social development and improving people's livelihoods, the bridge provides strong support for Guizhou's ambition to build a world-class tourist destination and explores a new path for the integrated development of bridge and tourism in western China.
Invested and constructed by Guizhou Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd., the Huajiang Canyon Bridge is a key control project of the Liuzhi-Anlong Expressway in Guizhou. It integrates cutting-edge technologies including drone applications, BIM modeling, intelligent monitoring, ultra-high-strength materials, and innovative construction methods, representing the pinnacle of bridge engineering in China and the world. Its completion has overcome the natural barrier of the "Earth's Rift Valley," enabling seamless connectivity between the two banks of the Huajiang Canyon.
