On December 5, reporters learned from a press conference on Guizhou's cultural and tourism development achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period that since the start of the plan, the province has steadily advanced the "Four Major Cultural Projects". With events like "Village Super League" and "Village BA" remaining popular, the number of tourists and total tourism consumption in 2024 increased by 13.6% and 45% respectively compared with 2020, marking solid progress in building Colorful Guizhou into a strong cultural and tourism province.

Cultural Development Strengthens Foundations
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guizhou launched 23 high-quality works including the Qian opera "Tianqu" (Heavenly Canal), with 37 projects receiving support from the National Art Fund. Construction of the Guizhou key construction area of the Long March National Cultural Park has progressed steadily. The Hailongtun Site and the Yang Clan Tusi Tombs in Bozhou were selected into the "Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries of the Past Century in China", while the Niupodong, Zhaoguo Cave and Dasongshan sites were successively named "Top 10 New Archaeological Discoveries in China". The number of registered museums in the province has increased to 170. Guizhou has added 1 representative work of human intangible cultural heritage, 19 national-level ICH representative projects, and cultivated 1 national-level cultural and ecological protection area. Additionally, 200 cultural demonstration sites for relocated poverty alleviation households and 106 urban theme study rooms have been built.
Tourism Industry Achieves Quantity and Quality Growth
From January to October this year, the number of overseas tourists increased by 46.6%. Currently, the number of tourism-related market entities reaches 357,100, with 161 existing tourism projects revitalized and deregistered. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, 2 new 5A-level tourist attractions were added, bringing the total number of A-level scenic spots in the province to over 500. Guizhou has 59 national key rural tourism villages and towns, ranking third in China, and 422 graded homestays that enrich accommodation options. All 5A-level tourist attractions are connected to expressways, and 4A-level and above scenic spots have high-quality 5G coverage. The "One Code Travel Guizhou" platform has recorded over 750 million visits.
Integration of Culture and Tourism Releases New Momentum
The "Huang Xiaoxi Has Dinner" campaign has driven the coordinated development of regional tourism routes. Huanggang Village in Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, was awarded the title of "Best Tourism Village" by the World Tourism Organization. The Zheng'an Guitar Culture Industry Park was rated as a national-level demonstration park, 7 enterprises were selected as national-level cultural industry demonstration bases, and the "Red Ribbon" project was included in the top 10 national digital innovation demonstration cases.
