On November 20, it was announced at the press conference for the 2025 Ningxia Winter Tourism Consumption Promotion activity that the "2025 Ningxia Winter Tourism Consumption Promotion," themed "Winter Tour in Ningxia, Enjoy the Sunshine," has officially kicked off. This event will run from November 2025 to March 2026, spanning five months and fully covering the winter tourism season.
"The campaign is built around five themes – 'Winter Sports, Study Tours & Practices, Culinary Wellness, Folk Culture, and Trendy Experiences' – forming a '1+5+N' activity system. It aims to launch a batch of diverse, distinctive winter tourism products and consumption scenarios, presenting both tourists and residents with a warm, joyful, and vibrant Ningxia winter," said a relevant official from the Ningxia Department of Culture and Tourism. The "Winter Carnival · Ice and Snow Gala" series of events will see cultural and tourism departments collaborating with sports departments to launch 71 ice and snow themed activities that combine professionalism and mass participation at venues like the Yuehai Ski Resort and Jingyuan Yahao Ski Resort. These activities, covering ice and snow competitions, ice fishing, winter fishing, parent-child snow play, and more, aim to build a regionally influential ice and snow tourism brand. Whether professional skiing enthusiasts or family visitors, everyone can find their own ice and snow fun in Ningxia.
Simultaneously, the Culinary Wellness activities will feature the "Winter Tonic · Culinary Wellness Pleasure," including the Ningxia Catering and Cooking Competition scheduled for late December. Based on this, an innovative "Feast Table" gathering local specialties will be launched. The Ningxia Tourism Investment Group concurrently initiated the "Ningwei Shanhe" Wellness Hot Pot Season, where visitors can enjoy wellness hot pots featuring main ingredients like Yanchi Tan lamb and Helan Mountain purple mushrooms at places like Lanyi Ecological Garden. The Shahu Lake and Yuehai Lake scenic areas have also innovatively launched "Ice Boat Hot Pot/Warm Pot" projects, allowing visitors to deeply integrate "ice and snow + gourmet food" with "culture + wellness" while enjoying ice views and lake tours.
Targeting youth and families, the "Winter Tour in Saishang · Study Tour Camp" offers 22 study programs covering venues such as the Ningxia Museum, with a focus on creating heritage preservation and art study projects, building a premium matrix of winter study tours. Additionally, the "Fun Play Winter · Trendy Experience Season" introduces 15 trendy formats including New Year's Eve celebrations, night light shows, and land art, promoting the transformation of Ningxia's tourism towards a younger and more high-quality direction.
