On November 14, Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism hosted a media briefing in Beijing to showcase its diverse tourism offerings to China's travel industry and media representatives. The event also announced that China Eastern Airlines will launch direct flights between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Muscat International Airport in Oman on November 30. The new route will operate every Wednesday and Sunday, providing convenient transportation for travel between China and Oman.

Oman, located in the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, is renowned for its unique natural landscapes and cultural heritage. As the world's only country primarily composed of oceanic crust and mantle rocks, it boasts a remarkable coexistence of mountains, deserts, canyons, and coastlines, earning it the title of “Land of Contrasts.” Zhu Shengxin, China Media Manager for Oman's Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized that Oman has successfully preserved its seafaring, trading traditions, and artisanal crafts throughout its modernization, creating a distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary culture.

Travel bloggers who recently visited Oman shared their on-site experiences. From the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and 17th-century Mu'tal Fort in the capital Muscat to the ancient fortress ruins in Nizwa; from the cool climate of the Green Mountains plateau to the vast landscapes of the Wahiba Sands desert, Oman offers unique appeal for cultural exploration, natural adventure, and leisure vacations.

The launch of the new route is expected to significantly boost Chinese tourists' exploration of this emerging destination. As China's outbound tourism market continues to recover, destinations like Oman—which offer both uniqueness and depth—are gaining increasing attention within the industry. The media event and the commencement of direct flights demonstrate Oman's tourism sector's commitment to the Chinese market, while also providing Chinese travelers with a new option for exploring the Arabian Peninsula.
