Turkey's Tourism Revenue Hits New High in First Three Quarters of 2025

According to UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) 2024 data, Turkey ranks as the world's fourth-largest inbound tourism market. At a recent press conference held in Istanbul, a key Mediterranean tourism hub, Turkey released its tourism performance figures for January-September, showing significant growth in both visitor numbers and tourism revenue. From January to September 2025, Turkey welcomed 50 million visitors, generating $50 billion in tourism revenue. When announcing its third-quarter performance, Turkey reported receiving 50 million international tourists during the period, a 1.6% increase compared to the same period last year. From January to September 2025, Turkey's tourism revenue reached $50 billion, marking a 5.7% year-on-year growth.
