Seven Chinese villages were on the list. Up to now, China has been selected for a total of 15, ranking first in the world.

According to the data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 1,597 key villages and towns for rural tourism have been launched so far, and rural tourism has increasingly become an important driving force for the recovery of the tourism market, the development of county-level economy, and the expansion of urban and rural consumption. In the first three quarters of 2024, the number of visitors to rural tourism nationwide was 2.248 billion, an increase of 15.5% year on year; The total revenue of the reception was 1.32 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.8% year on year.
