In order to control the continuous influx of tourists, Venice, the Italian water city, has stipulated that the number of tour groups must be kept within 25 people since August 1.
From April to July this year, Venice only imposed a 5 euro entrance fee for tourists, about 39 yuan, hoping to reduce the number of tourists per day during the peak tourist season. From August onwards, in addition to the number of tour groups, tour guides are also prohibited from using loudspeakers to maintain the quality of life of local residents.
Those who do not comply with the new regulations will be fined between 25 and 500 euros (27 to 541 US dollars). These measures were originally planned to take effect from June, but were postponed to early August.
These restrictions will cover the city center, as well as the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
