According to the statistical report released by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia on the 17th local time, from January to April this year, the country received more than 2.11 million international tourists, a year-on-year increase of 23%. China is the third largest source country of international tourists in Cambodia.

The statistical report points out that among the international tourists visiting Cambodia this year, the top three countries of origin are Thailand, Vietnam and China. Among them, Thailand has more than 588,000 tourists, Vietnam has more than 414,000 tourists, and China has more than 260,000 tourists. The year-on-year growth of the latter two is particularly evident, reaching more than 43% and 41% respectively.
As the most representative tourist destination in Cambodia, Angkor Wat Park received more than 470,000 international tourists in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 37%; the ticket sales revenue reached 22.2 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 38.2%. In May alone, more than 50,000 international tourists visited this world-famous tourist attraction.
The return of international tourists to Cambodia has promoted the continuous growth of passenger throughput at the three international airports in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. So far, the three major international airports in Cambodia have resumed direct flights with Southeast Asian countries, China, South Korea, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, and more than 30 domestic and foreign airlines have participated in operating the aforementioned international routes.
