The TV series Shh, the King Is Hibernating, which is going to be filmed in Northeast China's Jilin city, is expected to showcase the region's natural wonders and contribute to the development of tourism.
Recently, the production team of the drama visited Jilin, during which Hu Bin, the Party secretary of Jilin, met with the crew. They had in-depth discussions on promoting the integration of the ice and snow sports industry with cultural tourism.
Hu emphasized Jilin's commitment to the drama project, adding that the city will set up a dedicated team to support its smooth execution.
The city resonates with the romantic, icy, and joyful themes of the TV series. Besides, the Beidahu Ski Resort and Songhuahu Ski Resort, being among China's top ski resorts, will fully cooperate with the filming process to achieve a win-win situation, he added.
Liu Ning, the drama's producer, said that they will closely collaborate with Jilin to create a high-quality TV drama.
"We aim to promote China's ice and snow industry through this work, encouraging more people to embrace skiing and snowboarding," Liu added.
Actor Lin Yi and actress Yu Shuyin are set to star in the drama, and Olympic champion Wu Dajing has also been invited to join the cast.
