What is the relationship between meteorology and tourism? What kind of spark will the combination of the two generate? Recently, the First Meteorological Tourism Development Conference was held in Beijing, co-sponsored by the China Meteorological Administration's Public Meteorological Service Center and the China Tourism Research Institute. Representatives from the meteorological and tourism industries, experts and scholars gathered to jointly explore new measures for developing meteorological tourism resources and plan new directions for meteorological and tourism economic development.
Build a platform, establish consensus
"Meteorology makes tourism activities more wonderful", "Meteorology makes the health industry more prosperous", "Meteorology makes rural tourism more charming"... Participants普遍 believe that meteorology and tourism, have each other, have each other, and "tourism + meteorology" is becoming an increasingly important way to promote economic growth.
Zhang Zuqiang, a member of the leadership group and deputy director of the China Meteorological Administration, said in his speech that the meteorological factors are an important part of the safety coefficient of tourism resources. For tourist destinations with scarce tourism resources and high exposure to meteorological disasters, meteorological support services are related to their disaster prevention and reduction and safe travel for visitors. Climate resources are an important supplement to tourism resources, and it is necessary to promote the economic development of meteorological enabled tourism economy, bringing more abundant and safer tourism experiences to the public.
"The effectiveness and prospects of meteorological tourism development depend on the effective supply and value realization of climate ecological products." Gu Shuzhong, a researcher from the Resource and Environment Policy Institute of the Development Research Center of the State Council, believes that we should grasp the dialectical unity relationship between high-quality development and high-level protection, and develop meteorological tourism resources in order.
"Climate ecological brand creation work is gradually becoming an important way to support local governments in developing green economies and promoting rural revitalization." Chen Xiaoyan, a chief expert from the National Climate Center, introduced that taking Guizhou Luodian County as an example, the county is making every effort to build a climate suitable for living and leisure tourism, which has achieved good social and economic benefits.
Weather conditions are often the foundation of forming tourist attractions. Zhang Yonghui, the deputy mayor of Jinyu County, Jiangsu Province, believes that meteorological elements should be organically combined with cultural landscapes to promote the transformation of meteorological resources into productivity, and empower local economic and social development.
"And the extraordinary, magnificent and very special scenery often lied." Xu Xiaolei believes that natural creation and extreme climate are special tourism resources that constitute an important part of tourism products.
As a newly emerging outdoor tourist activity, camping relies more on meteorological conditions. Wang Xiurong, a chief expert from the China Meteorological Administration's Public Meteorological Service Center and the chief meteorologist of tourism meteorological services, believes that continuously meteorological monitoring and scenario-based meteorological service technologies make it possible for campers to "meet" special natural landscapes.
Narada believes that climate resources are an important component of the upgrade of the tourism industry towards high-quality and diversified development, and multiple departments need to work together to create a climate resources tourism feature brand and fully unlock the economic value of climate resources.
Talk about experience and promote integration
In recent years, the national government has continued to vigorously promote the integration of tourism and meteorology. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently issued the "Domestic Tourism Promotion Plan (2023-2025)", which proposes to implement special promotion tasks such as "Traveling in China with Seasons" to promote new tourism products such as winter sports, star gazing, and heat avoidance, further deepening the deep integration of tourism and meteorology. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has used "China's Tourism in China" as its theme, taking season as the "time axis" to promote tourism revitalization, launching a series of special promotion activities, which vividly reflect the rich dimensions of tourism in China.
From "sunny or cloudy" to "rainbow clouds", the service scope of weather forecasts extends vertically and horizontally, and meteorology achieves "two-way happiness" with tourism. At the meeting, local governments shared their experiences in developing meteorological tourism resources and services. Hunan Province actively explores establishing cross-sectoral cooperation mechanisms between meteorology and cultural tourism, health care, etc., expands "meteorology + tourism + health care" service new formats. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has vigorously developed star gazing tourism. The "Brighten Desert Starscapes, Release Consumer Vitality,
