Autumn is already deep, the heat of the Citywalk is higher, many small streets are crowded with people.

Invite three or five friends to walk through the streets together and feel the context and rhythm of the city with your feet. This new way of playing reflects the changes in the city: it is more beautiful, friendly, and there are plenty of scenes for people to walk through and read.

Must-visit destinations are popping up like mushrooms

"My parents' generation mainly traveled to scenic spots and planned long in advance. Citywalk is different. It's about enjoying the novelty and joy of hanging out." An Feng, 27, says there are few barriers to entry for a city walk - all you need is a heart to get going, "which is the easiest, but also the hardest."

What's the difficulty? The city needs to be beautiful and friendly enough to make people want to go for a walk.

Anfeng's social media platform shows the harvest of every weekend's walk. Sometimes it's a cultural garden, a graffiti wall, and sometimes a vintage cafe on the street. More often, perhaps just a small flower pool, unknown beautiful flowers grow freely.

Last weekend, she and her friends stormed the Liangma River and viewed in 24 Bridges across the river. On the bridge overlooking, the river in front of the shallow and broad, riverside grass and trees stacked gold, with bank office twinkling crystal light. Anfeng could not help but take a Liangma River overlooking the map, in the circle of friends suddenly got dozens of likes.

What struck her most was a detail. Like many gray Spaces under overpasses, Yansa Bridge was once a corner that was forgotten by the prosperity. Today, the small flower beds here are like colorful streams, with hydrangea, rose, primrose, peach grass and other flowering shrubs.

A few years ago, the Liangma River was a small ditch with few tourists. After the transformation, the wind of riverside cultural travel blows strongly, not only with cruise ships, Bridges, flower beds, but also held tea culture festival, fashion show, art festival and so on. Wandering tired is not afraid, can directly sit on the floor on the shoreline steps - the step is 45 cm high, is the most suitable height when people bend their knees to sit, such a delicate design, of course, not inadvertently inserted willow.

In recent years, the continuous urban renewal has made the capital have a rich cultural tourism scene, beautiful and fun. Large to Liangma River, Shougang Park, Beijing-Zhang Railway site Park, small to a green space, a red wall, have become a good place on the walking route.

Open up the slow road network

People often praise a road as "wide and straight". But for Citywalk fans, the preferred path is the opposite.

"A comfortable and safe small scale space is the ideal route for walking in the city." Li Lin, a professor at the School of Architecture of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, told reporters that walking through these small networks, people will naturally slow down and discover the beauty of the city.

Not long ago, the slow traffic system of Sanlitun Road was opened, and the chief designer was Li Lin. The Sanlitun Road in front of us is a beautiful autumn day. On the side of the road, there are three rows of Chinese locacias and law trees, and a slow lane is implanted under the street trees, which is separated from the motor road by Miscanthus and flower border. Small street noisy take quiet, all the way stretching 2.5 kilometers, walking to Tongying Center, Taikoli, Sanlitun 3.3 and other commercial buildings.

Ms. Li said the designers wanted to preserve the tree-lined character and create a non-segregated slow lane without cutting down a single tree. She and her colleagues spent six months communicating with each other, and the final plan was a kind of ashram in a spiral shell: in sections where the trees were too narrow, the road section was changed to ensure that the slow traffic system was fully connected.

As the old saying goes, "there is no busy street in broad street, and there is a busy shop in narrow lane." In recent years, around Wangfujing, Sanlitun, Lido, International Trade and other business areas, high-quality slow traffic systems are being built one after another, hoping that people can slow down and temporarily stay, and the prosperity of business will come naturally.

If the slow driving system is compared to a long winding line, the park strung by it is like a pearl. Beijing's hundreds of "borderless parks" recently welcomed their first autumn after removing fences.

Recently, the Haidian Park near the Wanquanhe overpass was drenched in autumn, with hundreds of trees such as ginkgo biloba, silver maple and flaming Eublancs painted with wine red, turmeric and dark green. Che Jianguo, head of the park, said Haidian Park had removed a total of 1.9 kilometers of fences. "Many people walked into the park unconsciously while taking photos with their mobile phones," he said.

Deep dialogue with the city

Is a city walk just a walk? In the view of Cheng Zhiyi, a hutong enthusiast, not entirely so. "The true meaning of Citywalk is to measure the context of the city with your feet and have a deep dialogue with her."

Talking with an ancient capital, the natural place to visit online is the ancient building and old house.

On the north side of Temple of Heaven Park, a two-story small building is calm and exquisite, which is a rare architectural boutique, which has a hundred years of history of Tongxing and wood shop. After the public-private joint venture in the 1950s, it was once used as a dormitory for workers, and later was judged to be dangerous because of its disrepair.

Over the years, although people come and go around, few people know its history, and there is no chance to go into and appreciate it. It was not until recently that the small building was renovated and the exhibition "Charm of the Central Axis Country Hua Zhang" was held, and Cheng Zhiyi was able to visit it. Looking up from the patio, hanging eaves, wooden stairs, carved wooden Windows, purlins, beams, rafters staggered, highlighting the Chinese traditional wooden structure of the square, exquisite and smart, shocking the beauty of ancient buildings in front of you.

At present, more and more old buildings in the core area have been renovated. The pigment Guild Hall, Taianli, Qinghua Temple and other buildings have also carried out the exploration of activation and utilization, so that the ancient buildings are revitalized.

Young people walk through the streets, feel the context at the same time, but also feel a rare sense of relaxation. For example, there may be books in a cultural space in the former Chow Mein Hutong. After the renovation of part of the Commensal Courtyard, a bookstore, gallery, cafe, study room and even a bun shop have been introduced into the 260 square meter space.

Baozi is the hutong aunt hand-wrapped, onion sauce meat and sprouts stuffing. The steamed bun in his hand is hot, "the mood is also hot." "It's probably what it feels like to have an unexpected encounter with something beautiful," Mr. Cheng said.
