The number of visitors to Hong Kong is expected to reach 30 million in 2023
Hong Kong travel agents predict that the total number of visitors to Hong Kong is expected to reach 30 million in 2023. A series of events will continue to attract mainland Chinese visitors to Hong Kong, including the "Hong Kong Happy Shopping Festival", the first "Asia's 50 Best Bars" award ceremony, the "Happy Victoria Harbour Carnival" and so on. The Asian romantic film "Under Parallel Skies", which takes Hong Kong as its location, has also aroused more Southeast Asian tourists' interest in Hong Kong due to its starring roles of popular Thai actor Win Metawin and famous Filipino actress Janella Salvador.
Travel agents in Guangzhou added that bookings for Hong Kong Tours have surged since June, especially at popular attractions such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Victoria Harbour and the Peak. The popularity of new online celebrity attractions such as the Hong Kong Palace Museum and M+ Museum has increased significantly, and has become a must-have for young people to punch in. Hong Kong's "cultural tourism" as a selling point is well recognized by young people. Nowadays, many tourists visiting Hong Kong are more willing to walk into small shops, talk with the owners or experience handicrafts, which makes many traditional shops see a breakthrough in transformation. After the epidemic, people have a deeper demand for tourism, and the quality of tourism products and service level correspondingly have a more "profound" impact on tourists. He plans to add the wet market experience to Hong Kong's tourism products, so that more people can enter the human fireworks of the city's essence. At the same time, to promote the Central Market itinerary, reserve time for visitors to participate in different types of local cultural activities, visit more than 100 retail shops and restaurants, and roam around Hong Kong local small shops, time-honored brands and social enterprises.
