Western Beijing's Mentougou district has rolled out eight cultural and tourism routes for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival this week. The routes offer diverse experiences, including cycling, revolutionary history, science learning and fruit picking. Visitors can enjoy ancient temples, grotesque stones and towering trees, and go hiking and camping in the abundant mountain resources in the district.
Exhibitions featuring Yongding River culture, glass firing and farming have also been arranged for travelers to savor what Mentougou has to offer.
In addition, more than 40 activities will be staged in the interim to spice up visitors experiences, such as dragon boat races, scented bags and fan-making, tug-of-war and painting in the forest.
