Migratory swans forage in the reeds of Bosten Lake, Bohu County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The lake, covering an area of about 980 square kilometers, is where the arid desert meets lush vegetation. It is one of the largest inland freshwater lakes in China.

The lake is also famous for its good ecological environment. The flourishing reed, which spans 40,000 hectares, attract numerous birds to the wetland, making the entire lake an important sanctuary for migratory birds.

In recent years, Bohu County has actively implemented the theory of "two mountains." Through the wetland ecological protection and restoration project, the county has coordinated and promoted the comprehensive management of water ecology and water environment. The ecological environment of Bosten Lake has been continuously improved.
