Different areas in China present distinctive features and gorgeous landscapes during the winter. With vast territory and a wide variety of geographic conditions, the picturesque winter scenery offers a feast for the eyes of the public. For example, jumble and rime ice is commonly seen in North China while the snow-shrouded and crescent-shaped lake is unique to Dunhuang, and timber trees are symbolic in Hangzhou.
