In the afternoon of February 28, Zhou Li, head of the China Project from CLR of Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and member of the Expert Committee of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA), visited the Secretariat of IMTA. They had in-depth discussions and exchanges with the secretariat of the Alliance and staff of various departments on the site selection and follow-up promotion of the monitoring site of the "International Mountain Ecotourism Destination Index System".
The "International Mountain Ecotourism Destination Index System" is a key project of IMTA in 2022. At present, the preliminary report of the system has been completed, and it will enter the stage of monitoring site selection and publicity. As one of the leaders of the project team, Ms. Zhou Li made an investigaion to Changbaishan Mountain in Jilin Province and Shibing Yuntaishan Mountain in Guizhou Province. She planned to select a monitoring site from Changbaishan Mountain and Yuntaishan Mountain in Shibing County respectively. The north and south are divided into cold zone and temperate zone, with different natural culture, which has the value of comparative study.
Fu Yingchun, Vice Chirman & Executive Secretary General of IMTA said that the selection of monitoring sites is related to the implementation of the index system, related to the authority and leadership of the project in the field of mountain tourism. The selected monitoring sites should conform to the principle of operability and development trend. Special attention should be paid to reflect the initiative of local community residents and local economy and environment. Promote local awareness of ecological priority and green development through projects; It is necessary to carry out special training, formulate training programs and refine the training system. It is necessary to explain the truth clearly in popular language, mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties to participate, so that the index system is not only implemented, but also gives full play to economic benefits.
Ms. Zhou also conveyed the cooperation intention of Jilin Provincial Tourism Development Research Association to carry out training related to ice and snow tourism development with the alliance, to carry out relevant cooperation in the annual Ice and Snow Expo, and to cooperate in formulating industry standards related to ice and snow tourism. The participants had a serious discussion on this.
Fu said, first of all, thank Ms. Zhou very much for his effective work, which has built a bridge for our cooperation. Jilin Province Tourism Development Research Association is a member of the alliance, and can put forward the willingness to cooperate with IMTA, which not only reflects the members' trust in IMTA, but also sees the IMTA's influence and business development direction, which creates opportunities for the innovative development of the IMTA. We will strengthen the cooperation with Jilin in a positive attitude, further communication and discussion on specific matters of cooperation, and establish a mechanism of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits in order to achieve substantive results.
