Recently, the "Mountains, Seas, and Re-encountering Jiangnan" promotional event for "Poetic Zhejiang" in South Korea, organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, was successfully held in Seoul! South Korea is a key inbound tourism source market for Ningbo, with deep historical ties and frequent economic exchanges between Seoul and Ningbo. As early as the Tang and Song dynasties, Ningbo served as a vital starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, fostering trade with the Korean Peninsula for over a millennium. Today, the connection continues through convenient air hubs like Shanghai and Hangzhou, as well as the close cooperation between Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and Busan Port. Moving forward, Ningbo’s tourism authorities will specially visit leading local travel companies, including Seoul Mode Tour, to discuss charter flights between Seoul and Ningbo, high-end customized tours, and extend invitations to the 2025 Maritime Silk Road Tourism Expo to be held in Ningbo in the second half of this year.
