Recently, the 14th Malaysia (Penang) International Tourism Exhibition (MITM) was held in Penang, Malaysia. As one of the major tourism events in Asia, MITM attracted numerous exhibitors from around the world, including cultural and tourism departments, travel agencies, and airlines, as well as a large number of professionals and tourism enthusiasts. Staff from the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism provided detailed information about Shandong's rich tourism resources, cultural history, immersive performances, distinctive cuisine, and the incentive measures planned for inbound tourism. They particularly promoted several tourism itineraries suitable for Malaysian visitors, such as the "Climb Mount Tai, Pay Tribute to Confucius" study tour, fully showcasing the unique charm of Shandong. At the event, the Shandong Premium Tourism Promotion Association and the Penang Branch of the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, along with representatives from Shandong's travel agencies and the Penang Elite Tourism Consortium, signed strategic cooperation agreements. In the future, they will work together on sharing resources, complementing each other's strengths, and promoting mutual tourism exchanges to foster the development of bilateral tourism markets.
