It is once again the season for the migration of animals on the East African savannah, and tourists flock to the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya or the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to witness this natural wonder. Some tourists crowd onto the routes that the migrating animals must pass in order to take satisfactory photographs, which has raised concerns among the staff of these wildlife reserves. According to a report by Deutsche Presse-Agentur on the 2nd, a senior guide from the East African savannah recently shared images showing the disrespectful behavior of tourists interfering with the animal migrations, which attracted widespread attention. The videos showed that dozens of off-road vehicles were parked along the banks of the Mara River, between the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Serengeti National Park, and many tourists even got out of their vehicles in violation of regulations to watch the animal migrations. The Tanzania National Parks subsequently issued a statement stating that it had identified the tourist vehicles that had violated the regulations governing the observation of wildlife, and that relevant guides would be held accountable for their actions.
