Tongcheng Travel said its revenue increased by 51.3% year-to-year to RMB 4,991.5 million (USD 690 million) in the third quarter of 2024.
The Trip.com- and Tencent-invested online travel agency saw its monthly paying users (MPUs) rise by 5.0% year-to-year to 46.4 million in the third quarter, presenting a record high.

The company further strengthened its foothold in China’s mass market, leveraging "efficient user acquisition strategies and exceptional operational capabilities."
As of September 30, 2024, registered users residing in non-first-tier cities in China accounted for over 87% of the total registered users.
For the three months ended September 30, 2024, around 71% of its new paying users on the Weixin platform were from non-first-tier cities in China.
Tongcheng said it will continue to focus on expanding outbound business to strengthen its global market presence.
