Recently, an important meeting was held between representatives of the Coastal City Development Group and representatives of the Government of Koh Kong Province, the owner of Koh Sdach and representatives of the inhabitants. The purpose of the meeting was to jointly discuss and solve the problem of running water supply faced by Koh Sdach in Koh Kong Province. After multiple rounds of discussions, a consensus has been reached: the construction of running water on islands will be completed within one month to resolve the water supply problems of the islanders.

This cooperative solution is urgent because South-East Asia is experiencing continuous hot weather and the worst drought in nearly 170 years. This has led to a lack of fresh water supply for most of the residents of Koh Sdach. The water supply project agreed upon at this meeting is not only a business cooperation, but also an important livelihood project, which is directly related to the basic needs and quality of life of the islanders.

Through such collaborative endeavours, Coastal City Development Group has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility and its effort to resolve the public problems. At the same time, the project demonstrates the power of government-business collaboration to effectively utilize resources to address pressing social issues. This collaborative approach is particularly important in the face of extreme weather conditions brought about by climate change, and it provides an example for other regions to follow in addressing similar challenges.
