China (Guizhou)-Korea Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Symposium was held in Seoul

The China (Guizhou)-Korea Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Symposium was held in Seoul, South Korea on May 21, with about 60 people from the Guizhou Provincial Delegation of China, the Korea Import Association, the Korea-China Association for Cultural Exchange, as well as representatives from the Korean economic and trade sector, tourism sector and media attending the event.

Xing Haiming, Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, delivered a speech at the meeting. He said that China and the Republic of Korea are important neighbors to each other, with economic and trade cooperation intertwined and cultural exchanges inseparable. Guizhou is an important energy base, resource base, and Baijiu production base in China, with significant advantages in new energy, new materials, health care, green food, high-quality Baijiu and other industries, and has a very broad space for cooperation with the Republic of Korea. At the same time, Guizhou has unique natural scenery and rich ethnic culture, and welcomes Korean friends to Guizhou to enjoy the beautiful scenery, taste the delicious food, and taste the fine wine, and experience a journey of forgetting worries.

Korean representatives saying that Guizhou's rich mountain resources and high-quality traditional Chinese medicine have unique appeal. In the future, the two sides will leverage and tap into each other's strengths and potential to further promote cooperation in various fields.

Chinese representatives respectively introduced the foreign economic and trade cooperation and cultural tourism development in Guizhou.The delegation of Guizhou Province answered the questions about the mountain tourism resources, tourism service facilities and environment in Guizhou Province that were of particular concern to the Korean side, and had in-depth exchanges with the Korean business associations, enterprises and other guests attending the meeting.

Since the establishment of friendly relations between Guizhou Province and South Chungcheong Province in 2016, the two sides have carried out all-round, multi-field and deep-level practical exchanges and cooperation, and the friendly relations have been continuously deepened. In 2016, the "Guizhou Day" event was held, which was a theme of humanities exchange between China and South Korea. In 2021, the China-South Korea Youth Network Go Competition was held. In 2022, an agricultural technology exchange seminar was held, and the intention to establish a friendly exchange and cooperation relationship between Tongren City in Guizhou Province and Tangjin City in South Chungcheong Province was signed.

The delegation of Guizhou Province visited Chungnam Province of South Korea again this time. Gui'an New Area of Guiyang City signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation with Chungnam Science and Technology Park, and the Guizhou Tourism Association signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation with Chungnam Tourism Association.
