Recently, the Gran Canaria Tourism Board became the sponsor of the WTM World Cross Country Grand Slam Tournament.

The Gran Canaria Islands have abundant natural resources for outdoor sports, and different projects can be tried at any time of the year. The mild climate and varied terrain make it an important destination for global sports tourism. The WTM World Cross Country Grand Slam Tournament brings together the best cross-country running competitions in the world, advocating diversity, inclusiveness, and respect for values. All the competitions support each other and explore more possibilities for cross-country running while maintaining their own characteristics.

Antonio Morales, President of the Government of the Autonomous Community of the Gran Canaria Islands, said, "The Gran Canaria Cross Country has engraved the name of Gran Canaria in the hearts of global cross-country runners. This cooperation with WTM World Cross Country Grand Slam will produce greater value."

The head of the Gran Canaria Tourism Office said, "The diverse and respectful values advocated by the WTM World Cross Country Grand Slam Tournament make us believe that each of the competitions can maintain its independent personality."

Janet Ng, the event director of ANTA Hong Kong 100 Cross Country Race, said, "This is a great partnership. We participated in one of the categories of the Gran Canaria Cross Country Race and personally experienced the atmosphere of the race and the kindness of the volunteers. This is very important. We are very happy that Gran Canaria knows that runners should be put first in cross-country running competitions, just as we have always believed."
