The 2024 "Dragon Rising and Wandering China" Air Tourism Product Launch was recently held in Kuala Lumpur. The event was hosted by the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, Guangzhou Weizan Aviation Service Co., Ltd., and Hainan Yanglv Aviation Group Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Sichuan Airlines and Batik Air. It was also supported by the Chinese Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur and the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Bureau.
At the event, chartered tourist flights from Xinshan to Haikou, Kuala Lumpur to Nanchang, Kuala Lumpur to Taiyuan, and regular routes from Kuala Lumpur to Chengdu were released. Tourism enterprises in Hainan, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, Mount Wuyi, Xinjiang and other places carried out rich cultural and tourism promotion on the spot.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The two governments announced the visa exemption policy at the end of last year. It is understood that currently, Sichuan Airlines of China and Batik Air of Malaysia will add about 15 round-trip flights between the two countries every week or 150,000 seats every year. The regular flight from Kuala Lumpur to Chengdu will start on March 31, and the other three tourist charter services will start on April 24. The increase in flight services will help drive the inbound and outbound tourism and personnel exchanges between Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and even the whole Malaysia and China.
