Recently, Chinese Ambassador to Cuba Ma Hui accompanied Chen Yin, Chairman of China Tourism Group, to visit Garcia, Minister of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba. Lorena, the First Deputy Minister of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, and other officials were also present.

Chen Yin expressed that the relationship between China and Cuba is specially friendly, and the Latin American region, including Cuba, has huge potential in the Chinese outbound tourism market. China Tourism Group is willing to work with the Cuban side to leverage their respective advantages, integrate culture and tourism, and carry out high-quality and innovative cooperation.

Ambassador Ma Hui stated that tourism is a pillar industry of Cuba and an important bridge connecting the hearts of the Chinese and Cuban people. The Chinese Embassy in Cuba supports the strengthening of cooperation between the tourism authorities and enterprises of the two countries, deepening exchanges and cooperation, and enhancing the well-being of the people of the two countries.

Garcia expressed that the Cuban side attaches importance to and looks forward to expanding tourism cooperation with China to promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges and economic development between the two countries. He introduced relevant measures and ideas of the Cuban side.
