Second, it is hoped that the Institute will actively build a research team with strategic talents, leading talents and young talents, as well as a high-level think tank team with cross-border integration in various fields such as economy, politics, culture, sports and society, and achieve more scientific research results. It is hoped that the Institute will join the ranks of new key think tanks as soon as possible and contribute to the establishment of a new 9+3 think tank system. It is understood that the Hainan Tourism Development Research Institute will begin preparations for construction in 2022, initiated by Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, and jointly supported by Hainan University and Hainan Tourism Investment Development Co., LTD., with the purpose of carrying out tourism development research, mainly serving the high-quality development of Hainan tourism and the construction of an international tourism consumption center. The business scope is divided into five areas: first, tourism development strategy research; Second, research on the construction policy of Hainan International Tourism Consumption Center; Third, academic exchanges on tourism development; Fourth, tourism personnel exchange training; Fifth, statistical analysis of tourism consumption data.

Hainan Tourism Development Institute will be a high-end think tank for tourism research in Hainan in the future, and it plans to build it into an internationally advanced tourism think tank compatible with the status of free trade port through 5 to 10 years of efforts, and provide strong intellectual support for the construction of Hainan international tourism consumption center.
