The first snowfall covered the vast area surrounding the Jiuzhai Valley, turning the popular nature reserve into a fairytale world in early winter. A gift from nature, the Jiuzhai Valley is renowned as a natural wonderland for its primeval forest, colorful lakes, karst landforms and spectacular waterfalls, offering picturesque scenery in the north of Sichuan Province. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
