As night falls, Hongya Cave is illuminated by colorful lights creating a sci-fi-like scene in Chongqing Municipality. One of the ancient city gates, Hongya Cave is an 11-storey-high stilt-house complex formed by a series of structures built into the hilly slopes lining the Yangtze River, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year to admire its beauty.
