The Yangtze River flows through Shigu Town of Lijiang City and forms a rare V-shaped zigzag bend there. It is well-known as the "First Bay of the Yangtze River" thanks to its spectacular views. Flowing around 6,300 kilometers from the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau to the East China Sea, it is the longest river in Asia, the third-longest river in the world, and the longest river in the world to flow entirely within one country.
