Lying at the foot of snow-capped mountains, Yubeng Village of Deqen County in China's Yunnan is home to 42 Tibetan families.

In the past, the village had been virtually cut off from the outside world, with no electricity or communication signal.

In 2012, with the installation of electric wires, Yubeng Village ended the long history of relying on kerosene lamps for nighttime lighting.

Now, with improved communications and better infrastructure, the picturesque village has drawn a large number of tourists.

More than 130 homestay inns have been opened in this village of only 42 households.

As the Spring Festival usually sees the peak of electricity consumption, power supply worker Wangden and his colleagues need to reinforce the electricity supply equipment before the influx of tourists.
