Known as the "Snow town of Japan," Shirakawa-go is a quiet mountain village surrounded by mountains, paddy fields and rivers. Arriving here is like entering a romantic world in a fairy tale. It is an example of how the Japanese people live with nature with their wisdom.

In winter, Shirakawa-go is completely covered with snow, and a series of thatched houses with herringbone roofs dot the landscape.

Shirakawa-go herringbone wooden roof type of houses, known as "made in the palm," more than 110 buildings together, very spectacular. In 1995, it was designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

In winter, the snow decorated Shirakawa Township into a snow kingdom. When the snow falls, the mountain villages, new green, red leaves, snow scenery and other different seasons into one, and "made with palms" residential houses.
